“And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal fire.” (Mat 18:8 NAS) The Apostles all taught eternal punishment after death for those who do not believe Him. “Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies,” (Joh 11:24-25 NAS) The Apostles teaching on eternal punishment John is referring to eternal life during and after God raises us from physical death. The fact is that everyone physically dies regardless if you believe in Christ or not. If John is using the word perish to mean physical death only, then it would stand to reason that the word life would only mean physical life. John is making a contrast between the words perish and life. “that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (Joh 3:16 NAS) The words “life” and “perish” are not referring to existence or a continued survival condition in a physical state. By state of existence, I mean the particular condition that someone or something is in at a specific time. Eternal life and eternal wrath are states of existence of the imperishable body. “Eternal wrath” is the state of existence of the unbeliever during this life and after death. The specific context of John 3:16 is referring to “eternal life” as the specific state of the believer during this life and after death. How can it mean living on forever? Sodom is given as an example. How can perish mean eternal death? Perish means the end of a person. John 3:16 gives two destinies for man, eternal life, or perish. I received a great question on John 3:16. However, they rose by 21.26 percent to Japan. What does it mean to “Perish” mean in John 3:16 Shipments from the sector to the US plunged 23.85 per cent to $277 million, while those to the EU dropped a slight 1.04 per cent to $206.2 million. It said that the economic cooperation agreement between Japan and Thailand had also not been exploited to its full potential, which made the Japanese market a good alternative.Įxport from the Thailand clothing industry fell 14.4 per cent to US$1.5 billion year-on-year in the first quarter. Japan is another market which has still not been fully explored and of which China has control of 81 percent of the market, TGMA said. Instead it suggested that they should concentrate on the EU countries, which had displayed a growth in 2008. TGMA has suggested to its members to diversify its markets rather than concentrating on its key market the US which was facing rapid contraction and where they were also exposed to fierce competition from other countries. They also advised the members of the association to pay a close look to trade policy of each country and make a detailed analysis of import duties, tariff barriers, competitors etc and then plunge in to these markets, since this was very imperative under the changed circumstances in global markets. Under the circumstances, TGMA advised its members to reach out to the buyers in their home countries and take orders instead of waiting for the orders. It also added by saying that the trade situation had changed drastically, with buyers not willing to move out of their offices to source their requirements. TGMA was concerned by the fact that more than half of the members were still working with an outdated method of running their production units and these were the ones who would be the first to be affected by the recessionary trends prevailing across the key markets across the globe. “Take aggressive steps to survive through the crisis”, was the advice tendered by the President of the 1,000 member strong Thai Garment Manufacturers Association (TGMA), Mr Dej Pathanasethpong and warned by saying that half of the garment manufacturers stand to be wiped out.
